PIC c02-16
CHEERS 000.189.005.003

Firmware status:- Last updated 27 October 2008 (available as disc based update via your dealer)

Important information concerning n-Vi code versions: 0.189.5.6/DVc02-15 and 0.189.5.3/DVc02-16

To accomodate for a material dependant variance concerning SPDIF latency, Naim have released two versions of n-Vi code. As per 27th October 2008, new builds of n-Vi will be delivered running 0.189.5.6/DVc02-15 code. This has, amongst other things, fixes for lip-sync/latency issues at the expense of longer SPDIF lock-on times (material dependant).

We would recommend using the current production code if you are an avid movie fan, but if you are mainly watching SKY and regular TV and are experiencing problems the longer SPDIF lock-on times, then we would suggest you speak with your dealer, who can supply you with 0.189.5.3/DVc02-16. Note:- this has relatively fast SPDIF lock on times, but increased system latency which could at times contribute to lipsync problems.
