Guys,
If I can find 200 forum users who would buy Fred Simon's 'Since Forever' from us on double 180gm vinyl, then I'll do all Fred Simon fans a favour and get it mastered, cut, stamped, pressed and packaged especially for you on nice thick black wax!

This is serious now...I'll be spending a lot of my pocket money on this. Opt in below! (no time wasters please!) Cool

Simon,

That is a very gracious offer, but my cd copy arrived over the weekend. I think I would now struggle to justify a second copy on vinyl to the wife. Had it been available before I would have ordered it on vinyl.

I was away over the weekend playing golf with a bunch of old school mates so I have only had a couple of listens so far. It follows confidently in the footsteps of Remember The River, which is hardly surprising given the personnel involved, with a lovely cover of In A Silent Way. Must give it another spin.

Regards

Nic

Really enjoying listening to the CD. I think the addition of drums to this group line up is a good thing. I'll take a copy of the vinyl.

Just a thought Simon.
Why not make this a sticky thread in all rooms for a few days?
Just so it gets seen by the world and his wife.

Simon, I will happily buy one.

That an electronics company should invest time and resources into a music label is reason enough for supporting a project of this kind in my opinion.

I would futher argue that this commitment to music is one the many reasons that Naim receives and deserves such a loyal customer base.

Add to that... Fred Simon, a company that listens and responds to it's customers and, the extra effort that Simon (and I assume his team) are putting into this deal means that me buying a copy of the album is a no brainer; in fact, to not buy one would be churlish and ungrateful on my part.

Best of luck with the project,

Gordon

Most Naim dealers would buy a copy or two i would of thought.
One to use as a demo and one for home use. Cool

Maybe if Naim get Fred over to play some gigs???
It does pay at the end of the day to have your record label Promo your album.
The more people that see Fred play live, Will buy his work.
Its a no brainer Confused
PhanTom Limb are playing at the BBQ in August.
And there might be some other great band playing in the where ever after.
But Fred could of done that.
£20 a ticket and you could get to meet Fred and Sarah have a chat and a beer or two and see them play.
Paul could put them up for a couple of nights at his place or at a b&b down the road.

Stu, I like the way you think.

Another avenue to explore is a house concert, or multiple house concerts ... houses with enough space and a good piano.

All best,
Fred

Ho ho ho. Nice idea, but here in the UK the Performing Rights Society won't even let us play a radio at work without being threatened with jail, so using our houses for gigs would probably get us execution by hanging.
Music is illegal here in the UK unfortunately and we can only do it behind closed doors.
The police are always hunting the internet for forums like this, but luckily don't seem to have found us yet, but I'd keep your voice down just in case.

Well, Ewan, when music is outlawed, all the musicians will be outlaws. I've always been a rebel, so bring it on!

Besides, it wouldn't be a gig, it would be a private party.

All best,
Fred
