when i had the powerigel, i had the cables running under my hutter rack and coming out from the back to connect to the equipment. It made for a rather neat arrangement -- the fact that the cables were routed on the floor didnt seem to make much difference -- although i really didnt try to isolate them -- there was nothing to prompt me to do this at all. it sounded wonderful.

Well it's arrived and in the system - just plugged it in to try it out (once i'd explained to a bemused other half what it was) so its not optimally set up but its good. Looks like a bugger to get a tidy setup though with the lengths of cables.

Well the Powerigel is back out of my system and i'm back to using my 4 way mains plug (with extra y split for the two PSU's) and all is well again. Bass was deeper with the Powerigel but pace and drive was lost. I did suspect this was down to the n-Vi now sitting on the Powerigel feed but no difference with it connected or left out. So another rebuild later and all is well James

Well i couldn't leave it alone could i - found the problem was i bunched all the power cables together (including inlet cable) to feed under the racks and my 282 doesnt like the DAC on the shelf underneath it (toriod transformer in it), so one more rebuild later, a reposition of components (which was actually better for signal cable dressing) and the Powerigel back in with the cables loose under the racks. Much better James
