Is anyone else having this problem? It freezes and has to be unplugged to get it started again.

Have you been able to fix the problem?

i've updated the firmware twice to no apparent effect.

If you have your player connected to a powerstrip it might be worth a try to re-arrange the power leads. Or put it on its own socket/ powerstrip to see if the problem persists.
