I have been having a lot of problems with n-Serve on an iPod Touch (3G) which worked fine until the last update but now has to be rebooted all the time because the UnitiServe stops responding to commands. I hope that the 1.7 update will help but it's been delayed and wonder if anyone else has encountered this problem?

Rest in peace. A superb actor. Only 51 years old. Called himself a 260-pound Woody Allen. I loved his "toothy" smile. Seemed to be a genuinely nice person.

hello all,

not been on for a while, i would like to say its due to enjoying the music too much to switch the mac on but alas work commitments have me busy!..

anyway I was wondering if anyone else has experience very poor network performance with their unitilite?

I have recurring problems where the unitilite constantly disconnects itself between uses (wont connect to nstream app via Ipad, or find connections for Iradio or Upnp) and more frequently at present in the middle of playback.

The only resolution is to re-enter the WPA key in network settings which is a pain (why isnt there a re-connect option without inputting the key again?)

I have returned my original unit and had a replacement for network issues and a faulty CD transport but at 3-4 weeks down time I dont want to go through that again.

Its getting to the point that I want to just go back to a DAC and drop the streaming and Iradio just so that I can guarantee playback without messing around.

Anyone else having issues?

Kind regards

I currently have a Supernait with a Powerline and a NDX with a Naim lead.  I am looking to add a hicap but only have two points.  Have a old 4 way hydra. Can I use the Hydra for the NDX mixed with the SN/Powerline or will it have odd effects?

Thanks

Hello all, I have an issue with file conversion on mac, and was wondering if anybody on this forum knows what's going on. The issue: I rip via iTunes into AIFF, and use Metadatics from the app store to edit metadata of my AIFF files. That works fine. However, I notice that if I try to convert my AIFF files to WAV (or any other format) using XLD, XLD does not pick up any of the metadata. If I use XLD directly on the iTunes AIFF file, all seems fine with the embedded metadata. Apparently, metadatics does something that is not compatible with XLD, and the issue is either with iTunes, metadatics or XLD, or any combination of these.

Does anybody know of another AIFF - WAV file conversion program on mac? I'm reluctant to buy blind from the appstore...

Good evening, my name is Conrad Baiguera living in Brescia Italy, sorry for my english, I'm a big fan of Naim.
My system is composed as follows:
Turntable: LP12 with ARO head arm Ortofon
PREFIX under the turntable
CD:CDS 3
Pre: NAIM NAC 52
Finals: NAP 135
Speakers: NAIM NBL
Headline headphone Beyerdinamic 880 pro
Cables: all NAIM

I currently own. Nait XS paired with some neat motive 2 speakers. I like this setup but I recently heard some ProAC tablettes and was really impressed by their sound. So, i'm considering a change in speakers. Has anyone upgraded a similiar setup? What route did you go?

CDX2/XPS2 and Krell 300i or 500i intergrated amp.

Will this combo work well?

Anyonr tried it before?

Many thanks.

Since last week I´m the proud owner of a UnityServe (and ripping like crazy...), the NDX will follow soon (CDX2 will leave).

Short question: I have one XPS. Should I use it for the NDX or for the NDAC (as I do now). The NDAC will be connected to the NDX, of course. Any experiences?

Thank you.

In summary: wow.

A beautiful voice, lovely lyrics and a long future ahead of her, methinks.

Trying to open a door marked "lift"...

Any suggestions, I use Chord Company rumour 4 bi wire at present.

Greetings.  I'm new to the forum - I've read the Forum Rules, I've looked in the FAQs and I've searched Naim's Knowledge base ;-) ... decided to post a question ...

I'm a long-time Naim system owner (CDX + XPS, NAC 52 + SuperCap, NAP 250) - no longer need my NAT 03 since I've just bought a UnitiQute 2.  But I'm new to the streaming audio world (so I apologize in advance).

I also have a Marantz MCR603 (Melody Media) for a separate system.  Here's my question ...

If I take my iPhone4, connect to my in-house wireless newtwork, open a 'radio station app' (e.g. Classical 101) on my iPhone 4, press play on the app page to hear the radio stream, and then plug the phone directly into the front USB port of my MCR603 - the MCR603 says "Direct iPod connection" and it picks up and plays the audio stream from the phone app immediately.

If I do the same thing with my new UnitiQute - plugging the phone into the front USB port of the Qute - it won't pick up and play the radio stream from the app.  It only treats the iPhone as an iTunes music source, which of course will play any of the ALACs or AACs that I have stored on the phone.  But it will not play the radio stream from the app (in the same way that the MCR603 does automatically when connected).

I must add that in all other 'radio aspects', my UnitiQute 2 is working fine.  It finds and is connected to the same in-house wireless network, it picks up and plays internet radio stations just fine, etc.  I just don't know how to get the Qute to recognize and play stations that are streamed in using a phone app when I connect the phone ...

I live in Saudi Arabia, so I can't get many 'direct internet' stations that I want - instead, I seem to have to get them via apps on an iPhone or iPad (so this is why I care about this problem).

Any tips are much appreciated (maybe I just need a link to a previous link/topic - my apologies if so).  Unfortunately, there is no Naim Dealer here in Saudi Arabia that I can go drive down the street to ask ;-)

Much appreciated,

Newbie Paul

Hey guys, this is my first post on this forum, hope I am in the correct section to discuss this.

I bought a Naim Unity 2 from my local reseller in Dublin after a demonstration back in December. The unit impressed me a lot. It works really well on all aspects but CD playback, this is at a stage where I get CD playback error messages on one CD out of 2, regardless of the CD (tried a good 20 of them old and new alike).

I have seen quite a fair few posts on different forums reporting similar issues which make me nervous because this really sounds like the device is faulty but could also be an issue with the model itself...

Is there anything else I could try before getting in touch with my reseller?

Cheers!

Dear all,

I feel that the CDS3/282/250  package, paired with my Sonus Faber Cremona Auditors using Naca5, is a bit too " bass heavy".

Any advice on how I could improve the tonal balance to a slightly lighter presentation?

cheers,

Louis
