Can I run a Nac 52 and a Nac 82 on a Supercap at the same time?

Never thought about it before, but tonight we want to make a test audition of both pre-amplifiers. If it works this would reduce the cable hassle significantly. On the other side: I don’t want my Supercap go up in smoke.

Thanks for your suggestions. Highly appreciated.

I accidentally once booked up both a 52 and a 112 to the same Supercap using one of the DIN5 power outlets for the latter- and then using the 112 into some 135.....huge distortion that made me shut it down immediately. Having both preamps draw from common regulator boards obviously placed great stress on the regulators that not only sounded horrible...it could have resulted in a puff of smoke and a hefty repair bill. On the other hand...............

I think you can. The original use of the powered socket on the 52 is so that you could run a second pre amp. You just run a 5 pin snail fromsocket 2 to the pre amp. In the early days I would run a 32.5 off the powered input to give me 3 phono inputs.
