thx Alba1320- now it works! Yes! Do we know the prices already?

Not that I've seen so far - perhaps those attending "Sound and Vision" might have some pricing info. (though ND555, at least, still seems to be a 'work in progress',  according to TW's 'Rumour Update' post, so perhaps pricing not yet fixed?).

They look good. It'll be interesting to see a shot of the back of the ND555 as it wasn't clear from the blurb on the website if Naim have gone for a proprietary digital output (using LVDS) for a future new DAC. Interesting news though.

I’m at the Bristol Sound & Vision show at the moment and it’s cunningly positioned so I can’t get my head (or camera) round the back to look. Sorry, it needs someone with a smaller head who doesn’t wear/need glasses to give it a try.

If anyone’s going, the Naim room is on open demo (at least on Friday) and is currently playing some insipid classical music at low level - hopefully that will change.  It’s all ‘classic’ range in there, no Unitis.

Naim, eh? Sneaky to the last...

Perhaps, as a 'work in progress', there is no back panel, yet?!

Disappointing ND555 externally looks the same as the NDX2, but no doubt will be significantly priced higher.

Hopefully, different 'looking' internals might account for the difference in price?

But then where is the brag factor, or can NDX2 buyers post system pictures pretending they have the 555

Perhaps there will be an option for more substantial 'CD555 style' metalwork on the ND555? For a price, you understand...

There’s definitely a back panel - have seen the back now - nothing unusual there - Optical, etc as expected. Nothing out of the ordinary unless “out of the ordinary”  is not there yet. Don’t think that’s the case as there’s no obvious empty holes. Music is more interesting now too .... though very much from a  “hi-if demos greatest hits” collection

With regard to the ND5XS lack of screen, that surely means quite a development of the app to include all the setup options (which currently rely on the screen to be seen).

My Qute's screen has failed, so if I need to change any of the settings at some point, I'm in trouble (unless by some miracle the revised app with all the setup will help me out!)

Introducing Our New Network Players

I'm sure more detail will emerge after today - I imagine there was a press briefing of some kind at Bristol.  Unless Naim are keeping their powder dry until ready for production...

Richard, seen the new streamers at the Bristol show this morning and had several discussions with various Naim staff regarding the new models. After seeing them in the flesh so to speak I think Naim have done a superb job incorporating the latest streaming technology whilst retaining the Classic look they are simply stunning.

I think I will be ordering a NDX 2 shortly ?
