"Cannot authenticate share" on HDX / UnitiServ

Has anyone else had the "cannot authenticate share" message when trying to promote a share to a Music Store on HDX or UnitiServ ?  And if you have, how did you resolve it?   Currently running 1.6 on an HDX-SSD trying to create a Music Store on a Netgear ReadyNAS for the first time. All shares on the NAS are seen and music can be played from them. The 'music store' share is empty & newly created on the ReadyNAS.
