CREAM Royal Albert Hall London May 2-3-5-6 2005

Wow. 7 am here. Watching (and listening to) one of the best concerts ever! Do you Brits know how to rock or what? I've got the DVD on, video via a Sony CRT, audio via the Rega Dac/Nait 5i/nSats. You know it's fantastic when you keep turning it up and the only limit is how deaf you might be the next day! What a great start to the day. Thank you Clapton, Bruce, and Baker! Legendary!

Dave,

Does it have a PCM soundtrack?

I think so. I ripped the soundtrack to my MacBook using a piece of software called DVD Audio Extractor (Mac and PC, full functioning free 30 day trial). After inserting my Cream DVD, I opened this software and I had a menu offering a choice between DTS or 'LPCM 48khz/16bit'. So I chose the latter, and ripped it as aiff. I can't believe the sound quality of this particular DVD. Ginger Baker's drums sound so amazing, particularly so on my n-SATs versus my Intros. I went through about thirty of my music DVDs, and this was the best sounding soundtrack. The only other DVDs that  came close were by Boz Scaggs and Heart. I tried Pink Floyd Pulse today, and couldn't believe how bad it sounded.

I was lucky enough to go to one of these gigs and a great experience it was....took me way back in time and White Room gave me a lump in my throat and tears in my ears

The vinyl box set is also very good and comes close to the experience.

There is a 3 LP vinyl box set of The Royal Albert Hall gigs of 2005.

I bought it when it first came out about 3-4 years ago,

Played LP3 last night the one with White Room on it.
