Classic Album Sleeves

Here's mine. Has there ever been a better one
Always liked this one...
And I like pretty much all of the Grateful Dead album covers. This is one of my favorites....
If I had to pick just one, this would be it. Pink Floyd 'Atom Heart Mother'.
Close behind would be almost all the Underworld album/single covers.
and not forgetting 'Monk's Music'.
I do love the Hipgnosis covers from the 70's Floyd, Zeppelin, Genesis, etc. still like the gentle innocence of Roger Dean's covers for Yes, thought Radiohead's covers were fantastic too. Vaughen Oliver's covers for 4AD, and some of Bill Smiths work too.
Personally I am not keen on the very decorative style of covers, but then that is probably my modernist influenced design background.
Some times it is enough just to print the album title on the cover
Or there is that record with a pair of red shoes on the cover ......
Always liked this
Always loved the Cruisin Series of LP covers that came out in the early/mid 70s.
Talking Heads - More songs about buildings and food
Jono
Just listened to Wishbone Four, and it made me think of this classic cover.
I thought I knew this cover well until I picked up a British copy. The Canadian version didn't do the artwork justice.
Then of course there was this :
... must have spent hours studying the detail in this one.
I'm surprised that there haven't been any Neon Parks covers posted yet. Something like this one perhaps?
Otherwise, I have a soft spot for the late (and much missed) Gerry Rafferty's album covers, especially this one;
And then there's this absolute classic...
And this one. Yes, I built the cardboard model...
