Postal Scam

This was received at my wifes school. I haven't done any other checks so take it or leave it:-

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Postal Scam:

This scam has been confirmed by both Royal Mail and Trading Standards, please be aware of the following scam:

A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact the m on 0906 6611911 (a Premium rate number).

DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize .

If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed £315 for the phone call.

If you do receive a card with these details, then please contact Royal Mail Fraud on 020 7239 6655.

Do our telecom regulators allow telephone companies to operate in the UK that could charge £315 for a call lasting less than a minute? 

Sounds odd to me.

Sounds odd to me. 

No. I believe it's maximum £1.50/minute but somebody else could perhaps confirm this. At any rate £315 is ludicrous.
