USB /unititserve

Could anyone say why their are four USB ports on the untiserves back panel?
I would have thought one was adequate and on the front panel would surely be more useful and easy to access.

Would not matter if there was 1, 4 or more....it would be too little or too much for some. I have only ever used the rear ports if I want to leave a USB stick docked for a time. From a technical perspective, all modern computer chip controllers support at least 2 dual USB inputs so it is likely the functionality and space was available so why not include them.

You can plug mouse and/or screen (small touch screens have usb connections) for control into the USB ports. Some people hang 'permanent' USB disk drives off the back too (as distinct from memory sticks or ipods).
