XPS 2 connection to NDX or DAC?

Coincidently, I do have a Powerline to spare and will try as you suggest.
Just curious , should I connect the XPS to NDX, Do I still need to turn on the main switch on NDX?

Hi, if you use another PS with the NDX it overrides its inbuilt PS and switch completely unlike the NDAC where the off board PS powers only supplies the analogue circuitry leaving the inbuilt PS to separately provide the digital circuitry power.
I agree upping the NDX power lead improves its ability to provide a good clean SPDIF stream. I use a  Belden lead for NDX and NDAC aux, and Powerline for the 555PS.
