In fact my unity serve is already running 1.6b. My problem is withe the windows software Naim Desktop Client. It keeps on saying it should be updated, even after reinstalling it from the link provided...

Yes, the firmware version is 1.6b but I believe the Desktop client (v2) is contained in the ISO file that you burn to CD.

That's correct you must install v2 of the DTC when updating the Unitiserve to 1.6.

Please be aware to remove the old version of the DTC before installation....

Yes, I installed the new version on top of the old one. It looked like it worked, but in fact it didn't replace the old on. Uninstalled the old one solved the problem,,,,

I thought I found a solution to manage my music....but in the end I think my turntable is much less trouble than all these updates and software stuff...

Not at all - that would be watching someone eat soup with a fork and blaming the manufacturer of the fork. Naim chose to use a rather daft way of administering the uServe when there are perfectly good alternatives to a windows programme that requires deletion before updating. Tog

Hi Tog,
Sorry, I'm not that much "into" computer stuff, hence my choice for the HDX ;-)
