Another Howard iMac question

My iMAC seems to be failing to show some pictures, some on here, Sloth Radio (album sleeves) ,some on Facebook, this is on Chrome, but the same seems to be happening on Safari as well.

Say in the case of Slothradio, the main website opens up do a select and the frames of the pictures are there but with a very small picture of a sheet of paper with edge folded 2 green dots and a red triangle.

A rotating circular progress arrow is also seen in the tab associated, this forum cand o it when moving to a thread with pictures.

I assume I've switched something off , I was doing some house keeping yesterday so there is a very slight? chance I might have done some thing, but I think it was doing it before.
