Is it just me who gets more emotional as I get older over the years when watching the 'In Need' clips...

I take your point about our relative affluence, I still think your suggestion that those who donate do so in order to boast of their generosity is largely wrong.

We all know the TV prog sucks now.

In the early days it was worth looking at,All hit and miss,More fun.

Its just Maze i take to task.

But with out it?

Millions would not have any life.

We all know they have the artists/bands of the day with there new out single or album to promo.

They have to do that.

Bands like U2 GIVE MILLIONS AWAY TO CHARITY EVERY YEAR.

People moan about that.

Yes we know they do alot of giving away as a tax break.

You have to earn millions in the first place and they could get tax breaks by putting it into other things.

But come on the good that money does.

INXS in the 80s had to loose a shed load of money or pay big time Tax on it.

They put it into a film that was sure fire hit to loose money.

They had bad advice and it cost them big time.

They stuck it into a little film called

They could of just given it to a local Hospice.

Here is something that will get up peoples backs up.

If you want to have ago.

Terry who used to host the show was part owner of the car/taxi fim that used to ferry people back and fourth to the show.

They used to bill for it.

Work that one out.

It is Chumbawamba from the album Pictures of Starving Children Sell Records.

I get down but cant get back up again.

Guy,

Most will only know Chumba for a hit or two and the stuff at the awards show a few years ago.

Not for the  good/great band they were/are.

Chumbawamba are a traditional folk group for the most part singing 13th/14th century songs about rebellion and so forth, but every now and then the move in to areas that few dare to tread.
