I haven't read your link, butI presume the debt is estimated at about five times our gross domestic product.

 

However, I understand that the government debt it is mainly long-term debt and manageble. Most of the lenders can't call their debt at short notice.

 

Personal debbt and business debt (which I understand is included in the total) might be more vulnerable.

No indication of UK's actual dept. I doubt it's more than the 13 trillion Japan and USA owe.
