Ripping CD's getting backed up

I'm ripping many CD's on my UnitiServe and after a few (4 or 5?) it gets backed up -- won't allow me to rip any more CD's until it's finished processing the previous ones.  Is this normal?  It's slowing down an already slow process.

My UnitiServe finishes the ripping process and ejects the disc.  Once the disc has ejected, the process is done. I've followed the process via the iPhone app and it's consistent -- by the time the disc ejects, the process has completed.

It sure sounds to me that something is not quite right.  My first suggestion would be to power down the uServe and re-boot it.  If that doesn't solve the issue, consult your dealer.

Afiu, the new software update introduced an automated back up feature. I guess this is where you could look into for new configuration.

I noticed the same thing happening - usually I could rip at a fairly steady rate but once in a while it would, as you describe, back up. I don't think this is a fault - the Serve appears to have a ripping buffer of about 3.4Gb and this does get filled if the ripped albums don't transfer across to the NAS straightaway - usually though it cleared itself fairly promptly.  You can monitor this on the DTC but hopefully it won't slow down your ripping too much in the long run.
