iTunes-Experiabox-Naimuniti

Posted by: Peter Hiel on 28 November 2011

I live in Holland. We bought a naimuniti for the ease of our music on iTunes to stream via our router  (Thomson Speedtouch 780)to the Naimuniti.

But we're disappointed. iTunes contains about 400Gb of music in AAC, MPEG and Wav.

Sometimes the Naimuniti plays for an hour, sometimes 3 numbers, sometimes 10. But than at the end of a number it stops.

I have changed the channel in the router, seemed the solution yesterday, but today the problem is the same.

Does anyone know the solution? Can the problem be in the Naim? Hope to hear from someone.

Did you try to connect to the router via a wired or wireless connection?

Michel,

I made the connection wireless. I can make a wired connection from Naim to router or from Apple to router. Whatt would you suggest?

Regards,

Peter.

Unfortunately, I'm no network expert. But why not give it a try and make both connections wired with some CAT5 or CAT6 cables and see if the problem still occurs.

What UPNP server do you use to serve up your files from iTunes? Don't know much about this area but UPNP seems to be necessary for flawless streaming with Naim streamers.

Thanks for all the reactions. I have changed the channel in the router and it works much better now.

When the playlists aren't to big it gooes well.

Upnp server is Eyeconnect.
