I cant belive no one picked up on this and posted.???

Not a good picture.

One of the greatest film directors/producers/writers of all time.

He was like Marmite?You loved his work or hated it?

He went where others would not go, and pushed people that worked for him to the edge at times.

But got great results.

Very sad news .

RIP Ken you have left a great body of work behind you.

I will be having a beer or two or three in the coming weeks with alot of people that spent many happy hours working with you in the 70's.

On BBC 6 Music news yesterday they featured a sound clip of him describing an experience he had with Channel 4 over commissioning an item. Having submitted his idea, no word reached him from the TV station until someone rang;

TV bod: Sorry Mr Russell but we don't think your idea is........cinematic enough.

KR: NOT CINEMATIC ENOUGH!!!!!.........................ME!!!!!!..................ME!!!!!!!! REALLY?

That has to be one of the most misguided pieces of feedback ever given!

I enjoyed his work. He was a character no doubts about that.
