Are the dealers more important than customers to Naim?

What do you guys think...

I suspect not, but INaim has a different relationship for each. As Naim dont sell direct to consumer, they are dependent on thier retailers as thier channel to market to the ultimate consumer.
Retailers will have quotas or targets with Naim in return for 'benfits', therefore it's more a partner relationship.  Where as clearly between consumer and retailer there is clearly no such relationship, since this is more a customer relationship.  I suspect for Naim both the direct and in direct relationship to the retailer and consumer respectively are equally important.

Assuming your question's related to the above, get your money back if you haven't already and move on.

AKD, I'm a little bit puzzled by the question. Without customers there would be no dealers and no Naim.

Ironically, if the answer to your question was 'yes', then you would most likely not have this place provided for you, Naim's customer, to ask the question in the first place...

What's behind the question AKD?

To: Chief Chirpa - that problem has been sorted, as we can all confidently says: Naim support is good.

Let me make this clear, it's not a criticism on the Naim.

The question is just a thought and I wanted to share it.

I think Naim runs two parallel relationship with Dealers & Customers as both are important to them for different reasons but I'm curious to know where the balance is tipped.

We all have access to Naim {in this instance "the Forum"} as Richard Dane rightly said but I think the dealers' voice is more heard.

Thanks

AKD

In answer to the original question - no. But how would I know? Whatever the relationship may be with dealers and customers respectively and dependently, it is a strategy which has served me well for sales, after sales, repairs and general ruminations. For my needs to date, most of the grease in these cogs has  come down to having a competent, professional, helpful and friendly dealer. Maybe I've been lucky? I try to chose carefully.

I would assume the relationships are necessarily different. I'm not a dealer so I don't know how that relationship fares; I assume it is strong. I'm happy with both Naim and the dealer I use. I think there are a lot of satisfied customers; there must be as that is the only way Naim could be so well regarded for so long. Dealers have to do a good job or else why would you ever return or recommend them. Plus I like to think job satisfaction comes to both Naim and its dealers by having happy customers.

Are the dealers more important than customers to Naim?

Before even trying to contemplate an answer I would need to know, "in what respect?"

But in a general sort of way, from my (albeit limited) experiences with Naim, I would say that both dealers and customers are equally important to Naim. My experience is that Naim treat us all as valued (not just in the £££ sense) individuals.

Cheers

My guess would be customers , I have had great contact with the factory itself and have always been treated brilliantly in the past and NEVER with arrogance , to the point , where Jason actually fitted some of my upgrades!. Wonder what has brought your post on ? As Richard says , there wouldn't be Naim , if it wasn't for us silly upgrade addicts ?! ATB Peter

Hi Guys,

I can only give credit to Naim, as you have unanimously confirmed that Customers comes first.

I asked the question, to alleviate my curiousity.

I had a problem which has been sorted out but the way it was dealt with, kind of doubt my consciousness.

Cheers!
