Antique-Fabric advice needed

Please can anyone give me some advice on caring for antique fabric ?

I have two Late-Victorian bedspreads, one nearly all silk, other cotton but with silk.

They’ve been in my ownership for only 6 years or so but stored away unused.

I have an odd-ball idea of using one of them for audio room sound absorption - hung on a wall but would need cleaning first...

then i could even use them as bedspreads! : )

There’re in very good condition and look beautiful, but they do smell musty. After a recent tidy up in the spare junk room i’ve just found them again and feel it’s way time i either use them or store them conservationally or sell them on.

Can anyone recommend a good specialist silk/antique fabric cleaner in the UK?
