missing iTunes artwork
Posted by: sjw on 09 December 2011
I wondered if anyone had come across a nice bit of software are that can missing album artwork for iTunes and pop it in- i've tried find album artwork in iTunes but there are still quite a lot of gaps
ideally free!
thanks
I use Album Artwork Assistant
I know others use Cover Scout
Just google and you will find the free downloads of each
They are for Macs though
Or you could simply highlight the relevant album tracks and copy and paste the album art from amazon, allmusic or similar.
King Size,
your avatar is super! Very nice pic of a dog - yours?

The best way to go is probably go the manual way, meaning that you search for the albumArt picture, save it and add it to the tracks manually in iTunes. You will quickly notice that this is the most reliable way for prevending from missing album art. Iver

Hi Max,
Thank you, i love the pic too and yes he is mine (although he prefers to think of me as his personal butler). His name is Brady, he's a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and was about 6 months old when the pic was taken.
Cheers,
Chris
album artwork assistant worked great and thanks!!
sadly the sonos doesn't see them tho- given the number of people who use iTunes this is a bit silly in the extreme !
the sonos site suggests some sort of script on their site which doesn't seem to work with snow leopard. Sonos tech support europe were to be frank clueless and barely poke neglish - i had to repeat the email address 20x
With10000+ songs their suggestion to do something manually was stupid in the extreme
any ideas please?
thanks
I think I found this applescript to be pretty useful: http://dougscripts.com/itunes/...s/ss.php?sp=embedart, had a similar situation with repositioning the library a few times.
First check for album covers using iTunes, then run it by following instructions...
I forgot if it actually worked (but I think it did), and only used iTunes so didn't check on other devices.
bought cover scout- seems fine thanks
