Spotify / Airplay on SuperUniti / Unitis

Have Naim officially announced support for Airplay in Q1 2012 for the SuperUniti? I haven't seen anything (might have missed it) confirming AIrPlay support in any Naim product at any time?

I stream Spotify through my Naim DAC using Apple TV or by directly connecting my iPad to the USB port of the DAC. All has to be controlled via the Spotify app.

Yes there will be defenitely AirPlay support - also comfirmed by Naim (CEO if I remember the interview correctly)

Be nice if it happens although the article only mentions "talk of AirPlay" and "pave the way" in the "new year"....hardly a firm commitment although I didn't hear the interview with Naim so may be I'm being a tad pessimistic. It would be a really nice feature, be even better if we saw Spotify fully integrated although I suspect that is less likely.

Yes a fully integrated Spotify would be amazing - though I'm also not sure about that happening soon. AirPlay on the other side I think should be integrated by NAIM really quick as LINN and other brands already support this feature. That would also solve a few other problems (like spotify streaming etc.) and provide a better convenience for users.

Wow, more than a year has gone by and there is still no AirPlay support :-(

Still no news then on the airplay or spotify app for the naim streamers. If only , yet hen I would race out and purchase a naim streamer. Come on naim !

Dunno if it would help but I've read nice things about the Denon DNP F109 network music player. It costs around £230, is a DLNA type network music player with digital output and Airplay compatability (so would do Spotify via Airplay). If you had a Naim DAC or network player with a digital input, it would give you a way of bringing Airplay and Spotify to the party .. then if and when naim release their stuff you've got a network player to use somewhere else in your house. Just a thought - I haven't got one.

Naim streamers have digital optical input.  Add an Airport Express or a bluetooth music receiver ($50 gets you aptX and Toslink output).  In either case, all you have to do is redirect output from your iDevice's Airplay menu, and you can stream whatever you want.  Either can work well, but I've had much better reliability (i.e., zero dropouts) using bluetooth. YMMV.
