Sally and I discussed it last night, but I got a decidedly frosty response, I should have used some of the money I just got for a center speaker on it.

Never mind perhaps it will go down again soon.

I do wonder why it fluctuates so. Is it to get word of mouth going and then try and catch someone who doesn't notice the price rise?

perhaps a crafty marketing ploy, stimulate interest - get people thinking they're on to a really good bargain…

but how much does it cost to manufacture 16 cd's, and stick them in cardboard… £5?

even when the other overheads like distribution transport, vat etc are included you can be sure they’re still making a handsome buck out of it.

Debs,I got the same email from Amazon as you and I think like you ordered 2 days ago,as I was reading the email, got a knock on the door with the delivery. Expect it sooner maybe. Not sure if I should open the seal or put it in a cupboard for a few years, already got most of it on vinyl and cd?

Mine came this morning. Am currently listenening to this, which, as many reviewers have said, is an enormous improvement on the '87 and '94 masters (and a very good album too)...

Impressed I have to admit. For the money I am well pleased.

Very depressing reading some of the reviews for some of the other Floyd box sets - especially WYWH. Do these guys not bother reading about what they are actually buying before pressing the button? It's not like it's buying a lucky dip bag, absolutely everything is noted as to what is in the package. As for the poor fool who noted - even for this price the marbles are clear, oh dear. How to make yourself look a complete d**k and call yourself a fan? Oh well.

I need a new PF shelf now - the existing one is overflowing slightly.

Really looking forward to hearing how some of the early ones sound  - 'More' certainly looks like it will be on first.

Is Piper being released by PF on vinyl? I'm not much interested in the other stuff as I've got the original CDs an some vinyl, but a new Piper on vinyl would entice me.

I've got various CD releases of Piper. I used to have a vinyl edition. but I lost it years ago.
