No it unfortunately hasn't.

Johnny Winter was due to play at the Bishopstock Festival in Exeter about 10 years ago. He made an appearance on stage but wasn't well enough to play. A great disappointment but he did look very frail.

Hi Steve thank's for the reply r.e Johnny Winter. Slight misunderstanding. I am new to the forum and was trying to post a 'What are you listing to' post with a photo of the 'Still alive and well album cover , but failed. thats why the message is a little cryptic. Your post regarding JW was far more interesting than my rubbish attempt at posting a photo. Do you know if Johnny is still playing or making albums?

I'm always glad to see folk from that period are still alive and at least reasonably well.

He was high on my list of people I reckon I'd like and ought to seriously check out but never got round to it.

I still vividly remember his version of Jumpin Jack Flash from my student days. It was stonkin.

I was JW about 20 years ago...and at the time he looked a little pale and gaunt...I guess the albinism had something to do with it. But I have never heard a three piece blues band tear it up like he did. I cant remember how many times I listened to the live Johnny Winter And album I recorded on cassette, but I know it is well into the hundreds.

Just ordered Johnny Winter And...Live about 40 years after I should have.

Sorry Ron but I had to laugh at your description. I suspect Johnny was born a little pale and gaunt and got paler and gaunter over the years.

I hope he's well and happy now.
