karen dalton???

Anyone know anything about her (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karen_Dalton)? I read an interesting article about her in Word. I'm tempted by it to try her soon-to-be -released LP.

Do you mean the 1966 album? The SQ isn't great but her voice and playing - 12 string guitar and banjo - are incredibly moving. Anyhow, you can listen to the tracks here. You could also try her two proper albums - It's So Hard To Tell Who's Going To Love You The Best (1969) and In My Own Time (1971). The first is better but the latter has two of her greatest songs: Katie Cruel and Something On My Mind. You get an early version of Katie on the 2012 release. Thanks very much!

I think both of the albums were re issued in last couple of years by Light in the Attic records. I have In My Own time. The sound quality is pretty good. Something on My Mind always gets the hairs on the back of neck to stand up. Awesome track awesome vocals!!
