...Trial by media for all concerned?

Nice timing.

I don't blame him, the FA messed up by not at least running it by him they were intending to strip Terry of the captaincy, end of...

Imagine anyone taking a stand over a sh*te like Terry!

Quite remarkable, unless Capello's getting himself out of an impending catastrophe at the upcoming Euros.

At least the new coach will know to leave Terry out of the squad. Then, England might have a chance!

Consistent at least  G55, record on repeat play.

Speaking as an outsider it looks to me as though neither side will be shedding many tears at this.

In any normal industry he would have gone after the utter failure of the last World Cup. Martin Johnson a good example.

However in any normal industry you'd appoint someone to manage your team who was on more than a passing acquiantance with the language spoken.

You'd also suspend an employee immediately at the point they were subject to investigation for a serious misdemeanour (such as alleged racism) pending the outcome of that enquiry.

+1 Bruce

Add to that you would normally suspend (at least) any employee who publicly criticised an exec board decision.

Aaaaannnyway... Euros start June 11th for England. I'm just not convinced it should be 'arry to take us there. Nice bloke but dim. Good mate but too matey?

Spanish league finishes May 13th, Champions League final on 19th.

Jose Mourinho will then have 3 weeks with the squad.

Should do it I think.

You know it makes sense.

Q. Name an England manager in the last 40 years who has emerged from the job with their reputation intact.

I'm struggling to think of one.
