network player or PC+USB/SPDIF converter ?

Hi Mates,

Which of these two "technology" could give musically better result theoretically and

practically:

Use a naim or non-naim network player as a source component ?

Use a laptop + a decent high end USB/SPDIF converter (Audiophilleo  , Jkenny ...etc)

+ some decent player software (Jplay, Foobar,...etc) into DAC ?

Have anyone of you done comparison between them ?

What are the advantages and disadvantages ?

Where should the money be invested to ?

Maybe othhers are also interested before investing money to streaming audio.
