Synology DS 212 and Squeezebox Touch and/or ND5XS

Does anybody use Synology built-in UPnP Media Server and Logitech squeeze server for Synology NAS simultaneously? Is there any messing-up with ports or likewise?

I have done it on a QNAP without any issues. BTW you can also use LMS as a UPnP server (as of version 7.7.x). No need to have a second server running.

I have configured a Synology DS212+ (or was it 211?), LMS and a SqueezeBox Touch for a friend a month or two ago, and at that time the Logitech Media Server v7.7.x wasn't yet released for Synology (only 7.6.x which isn't a UPnP server yet). But it won't be long I'm sure.

More than this I'm afraid I can't help 'cause I didn't use the included UPnP server, sorry.

I'm sure there is a version 7.7.x also for Synologies. The 7.7.1 QNAP version is also not the offical package but a download from a forum.

Hmm, do you mean that I can easily use LMS for ND5XS?

I doubt that... but certainly sounds nice.

Actually, Synology's generic UPnP is really good.

Checked out this one: This is what Synology offers right now: LMS 7.7.1-001. So that means

UPnP.

I will try it in the next few days...

Good luck with it. Make sure UPnP is enabled after installation. I had to to this manually in the SSOTS (SSODS on a Synology) settings.
