John Snow on channel 4 just interviewed photographer Paul Conroy and it was incredibly moving and profound. One of my work colleagues father was recently murdered in Homs and so this really hit home.
We should do more. G

I disagree. The Arab world should be sorting this out, with the rest of us in the background. We've done enough to aggravate that whole region for centuries, and we've no money or armed forces left.
We need to save some cash if the Falklanders need our help again.

Should be.......I agree, but children amongst others are being indiscrimiantly slaughtered Tony and anything we can do to to create a hiatus whilst the Arab world sorts this out the better. G

And our intervention would probably make it worse. Saddam killed many, but how many Iraqis have died since? Libya still isn't safe. And I still wouldn't walk around Tottenham at night, alone.

Just a humorous quip that if the streets of certain areas of England aren't safe to walk around at night, why on Earth would we take on the responsibility of making Syria a decent democracy?
Anyway, a few bottles of Thornbridge Kipling have passed, and I'll stop there.
