Have you tried the new 3.13 streaming products software?

Posted by: roo on 06 March 2012

I just downloaded and installed the new 3.13 streaming software update on my NDX. The DSP software has been updated for the first time in a while. I've not noticed any downsides to the release and the NDX sounds just as good as before if not slightly better. Hopefully this release will fix the occasional streamer board crash I get when I access the odd 24/96 file during a session of listening to mainly 16/44.1 material. Anyone else tried it out?

Got mine installed a while ago. NDX here, too.

Works just fine but I haven't stumbled on any new features yet.

A changelog would be appreciated...

IRadio seems to be more stable, but this could be a coincidence. I agree a change log wold be preferable to vague comments such as "performance enhancements", but it's nice o know my machine is keeping up with the new ones.

Is the update only for Windows?

Yes, the upgrading software is only for Windows.

As specified somewhere, upgrade brings:

improved WPA\WPA2 mixed mode security compatibility

fix an issue with artwork with ALAC files

And as usual other unspecified bugs fixes.

Is it just me, or have they leveled iRadio (Paradise 320k) and UPnP volume?

I think UPnP used to be a bit quieter on v3.9 still...
