New iPad.

Well, my wife 'only' has the iPad 1, so this will be a huge upgrade. Same price, so it's a no-brianer.

In the meantime, just listen in awe at the sound the first and fourth cars make in this video. Matra V12 FTW, and no, I don't care about links and continuity lol: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...youtube_gdata_player Tony

I have the original iPad, but am not running out to get the new one. It is serving me well enough for now and I would rather buy records. Maybe after I get my mid-summer bonus.

O2 will give me 275 for my ipad2 (32gb) so I ordered a 16gb Ipad3 for £399 - for £125 it seems a no brainer for how much I use it and I don't use much of the memory oon the 32gb

I'll be getting one (this will be my first iPad). Hopefully future versions of N stream will look great on iPad.

When the first ipad came out I said 'Who the hell will buy that?!'

A year later I bought an ipad2 and in the last year it has become

the most used hitech gadget.  And its use synchs well with the

greater number of hours I listen to my music...with the ipad in

my lap!  The ipad 3 will be very tempting...

Don't have an ipad because I've been waiting for this one as it now ticks the boxes for me.

Bring it.

Hopefully future versions of n-Stream won't crash on the iPad either.

Wooo, iPad day tomorrow

Wahoo! For my wife

I'll be inheriting the old iPad 1, and looking for ways to fill the 64Gb on the ol girl. I've also found the camera connector so I can load images directly from my EOS 40D onto the iPad. Bonus

Yeah Tone, and wahoo for you too! Fringe benefits eh...

I am sure the 1 is still a cool bit of kit, just don't look at the missuses display!

Not done that in years!

Doh!  UPS man hasn't arrived here yet!

Waiting by the window/door for a new toy, the rush when you hear a vehicle, only to be disappointed on seeing a learner driver.

I'm interested in the Pad but not convinced. Looks like the low end Pro will be absorbed by the Air, and get a Retina display. If Mr X has a Touch and a Pro/Air, where do Pad users feel it scores over the combination?

Happy gesturing,

I'll let you know how I do, as I have an iPhone 4 and now have an unwanted iPad 1 in my possesion.

From the few occassions I was allowed to handle the iPad, I know that apps like navigation are far easier to use than on an iPhone/iPod. Reading books, mags, websites is far easier on the eye.

I'm not sure I'd want an iPad if I already had an MBP or Air, but then I'm not made of money.

By the way, the screen is bloody gorgeous.

iPad 3 arrived this morning - the screen really is a delight to behold!

I am extremely impressed with the new screen, truly colourful and rich. A big step up. Very happy with this purchase, as always.

Tony,

Thanks for the reply.

Just unpacked the new iPad. Our first household Apple device

Very nice, screen is great. For one hand holding, one hand typing it gets a big heavy after a while. (and I must find out how to disable the auto word finish, the Dutch suggestions aren't very helpfull on an English forum..). Otherwise very enjoyable!

Cheers, Fred

I got one, too.  My first iPad or iPhone.

Very nice feel.  Decent battery life.  Eats digital bandwidth.   I used 10% of my monthly allocation in a single day and turned it off.  Very fast page loads in wi-fi and digital.  I know it has a lot to offer.

I expect the MacAir will have all these iPad features including wireless in the next iteration.   When that happens, my wife or kid will get the iPad.   I know it is cool, but I am not loving it yet.

As promised, I picked mine up a week-or-so ago. Brilliant screen, not noticeably thicker than the iPad2 and very nice to use.
