Office system, in need of wireless dac

Posted by: Somchie on 08 March 2012

Bought a second-hand pair of Klipsch RF-82 II and a Naim Nait 5i for my office, if nothing else it will keep me from falling asleep!

Now, I have a Macbook Air combined with a Apple Thunderbolt display in my office and I need to stream audio from that computer (mainly Spotify and FLAC). I tried my old Apple Airport Express but the AirFoil solution didn't work that great and the sound was overall rather dull (tried it with Spotify Premium).

I just got my Naim PowerLine for my SuperUniti and I asked my dealer about wireless DACs and he lent me a NuForce AirDac. I think it is a new product and it is around 150 GBP.

Have anyone tried this NuForce AirDac or can you recommend any other wireless Dac?

I have the system up and running and it sounds real good with the NuForce AirDac, but I am thinking of maybe going for a Chord Chordette but that is almost three times as expensive.

Maybe the Arcam rDac?
