How about this for rearranging your system - and yes it is cost effective!

Hi all,

Something occurred to me about a week ago, that amongst my friends, it is only me who appreciates hi-fidelity replication, so what I chose to do is sell some of my existing components and redistribute the funds to max out on the headphone front....

So whereas I has the 282+dual hicaps+nDAC+nVi+250.2, I thought I'd downsize to just:

nVi

nDAC

And then put the funds towards Grado GS1000i+Headline+Hicap2+XPS2 for the nDAC

A very wise move, as the audio is still reasonable for 5.1 and even in stereo through the nSATs, but if I want to listen to a much high fidelity, I can use the headphones.

It is a great move if people like the intensity of private listening (and I figured I wasn't going to het to that level of fidelity for many years of upgrading, so I am chuffed I have gone ahead and done what I have done).

Of course I still have the potential of the 555PS and a Supercap2, but they aren't as major as my previous 552+500+S-600s!!

Many regards!

Jon
