A Question for vinyl lovers?

Would you really want a small record shop like this within 10 mins walking distance from your home?

Amoeba is amazing, I was was taken there by JohnM, late of this forum. I hadn't realised it used to be a bowling alley, probably explains the size.

Howard,

I still have the 45rpm K R A F T W E R K  TOUR DE FRANCE 12" AMOEBA vinyl you sold me when you came back from that holiday.

Only to find it was a 33 rpm when i played it.

Its in my will to go back to you.

I have tried to get hold of John before Christmas and again  every week since.

But no luck on phones/skype or emails??

Have been doing the same with Steve SC.

Nothing.

…now it’s the customers who are bowled over! :>

Would be difficult trying to save money living close by to that place!

Debs

I have most of the albums in the front row of racks ex the Eno box set.

Thats the point.

10 mins walk?

I could not live with that near me.

As much as i would love it.

I want one please

It's not just about the vinyl at Amoeba. Hope to get there someday.

joe,

That was a few years ago when Paul  had more cash.

Before he got taken to the cleaners by his second wife.

The Rutles came out with a great album in 1977 .

The film was shown on BBC TV and to this day it holds the record for the fastest re- pete.

On tv because of public demand.

It was shown the next week.

TV used to close down at 12 o clock in 77.

We only had three chans in those days.

That  was a silver J year.

Street parties.

Although I am very happy with the two record shops selling vinyls from a couple of blocks where I live this however would be a place to visit.

Three channels here in US for most of us at that time, too.

Rutles - right - familiar with it.

You lost me on the silver J year and street parties???

What a dilema... live in the US with all that vinyl floating around, or live in the UK where you get new Naim releases (e.g. NDS) a few weeks earlier...

What about Georges Carlton?

Did you and Sally notice that when you were there?
