I was given this Christy Moore album today for Easter.

Just played it.

If Jesus had been a singer song writer ?

He would not have done it any better than this, after turning water into wine imo.

This is now in my all time top ten, and i have only played it once.

WONDERFUL/ WONDERFUL/ FANTASTIC/ BRILLIANT.

Its the best album i have heard in years.

Wonderful words and music.

No wonder Frank Zappa loved this man.

And that's a really poor Christy Moore album too!!! Seriously. It's just more of the same. It's a decent standard but no more. There are Christy albums out there that fully illustrate what I mean. The Time Has Come. Ordinary Man etc.

By no means the best example - and, although he has written songs himself, he is more an interpreter of song.

For the real Christy experience try Live at the Point as a starter.

Ride On - Traveller - Graffiti Tongue - Christy Moore - Paddy On The Road .... are among my favourites - Your wife says "Oh not Christy Moore, we've heard him loads of times before, we're gonna miss Gay Byrne on the Late Late Show" - the man himself.
