Pc+Usb/SpDif converter or streaming

Hi All,

I wonder which method of the above two results  "better" sound quality

and how much better ?

As far as I see streaming with Naim box needs (much) more financial investment

than - say - a laptop+usb/spidf conv. into nDac. Could it give us moch more

sound as well ?

Not everyone of us could try out both possibllities before deciding.

What do YOU think ?

Both will work

I use Mac Mini - optical S/PDIF - Naim DAC/555 PS (sounds great) [main system]

I also use Vortexbox streaming in to UQ (sounds great though not as good as the above) [office]

Best digital system I have heard was streaming in to NDS/555PS

I'm not sure any one set-up is better than another I think you just buy what suits you best

Ultimately if you want top SQ then buy a Linn LP12 and some vinyl or a Nakamichi Cassette Deck and stay in the analogue domain, but if you want to use computer audio then there are a number of very good solutions around.

this depends on the usb/spidf converter you are using. There are so expensive converters...
