advice on hd replay

Bought just a couple of weeks ago the nd5 xs to accompany my 202/200/cdx2/hc combo. For starters i focused on listening to fm, i-radio, and then went into streaming. For that I use the Imac. To be honest, sometimes i can't see the forest through the trees (as we say in Holland) when i read about apple losless, aiff, flac en wav. First I had to find out something that would stream from Mac to the network player, since I-tunes doesn't match. Okay, for that I ordered 'Playback'. That's working fine now with the music i downloaded through i-tunes. Then there's the possibility to download and listen to HD music files. But, that won't do with Playback. So another program is needed. But which one? They seem to vary in price and possibilities. Every hd-website recommend something else, and the Naim website itself directs me to and free-of-charge program, but that's is program several years old (ages in the it era).

So fellow-naim streamers, what would you recommend? Should i go for a dedicated Nas with it's own hd streaming possibility? Or stick with the Mac for a while and and order ...., etc?

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Arno - playback will handle all your files. You just need to import them into iTunes as you may have downloaded them as flac files. You can use a program called XLD to do this. It's actually an application to rip  CD's but it can also be used to convert flac files to AIFF files.  Don't worry about all the options given on the HD file websites for playing these files. You already have all the infrastructure in place to do this.
