Thought this might raise an eyebrow

They seem to go for about 120 quid
Not really. They have been going for good money for quite a while. Luckily I have all the Classic Zep pressings. A good sound investment. The BBC box set goes for 200 quid mark and I was tempted to shift my copy of that but have not yet....

from ebay...
"Led Zeppelin IV (ZOSO), Released by CLASSIC RECORDS on Quiex 200 Gram QSVP Audiophile Vinyl. LP has been opened and played once, comes with Audiophile loose-fitting outer-sleeve. MINT vinyl and cover."
They seem to go for about 120 quid
That's far too expensive, and if the vinyl quality is anything as bad as the Physical Graffiti Classic Records 200g QSVP that i recently purchased (and sent back for refund)...
then i wouldn't touch it with a barge pole!

I have found these Zep pressings to all be very good. I have had other Classic pressings that have not impressed.

strange you should say that, all my other Classic 200g viny (which is all Jazz) is very impressive, i was shocked how bad the Led Zep PG was, although it may have been a one-off duff copy.

All my Zep Classic pressings, including Physical Graffiti are very fine but no one believed me when I got a dreadful, truely dreadful, Aqualung copy! I think that they can, at the moment, be pretty variable!

sorry... my mistake; i should have said "i was shocked how bad the double album - Led Zep tSRtS was, i've not heard Physical Graffiti on classic 200g but have a very nice French pressing re-issue that looks 30+ years old.
But even if they can be splendid pressings, 120 quid on ebay is far too rich for my budget ; )
....... Luckily I have all the Classic Zep pressings.....
No you don't - you haven't got a copy of Song Remains the Same, or In Through the Out Door.
Lontano - that makes you "two LPs short of a full set"
Goodness me I'm on form today!

In Through the Out Door, never heard of it. Just checked, you are right on that one and I thought I had them all. But I do have TSRTS
I had better start tracking down that remaining item, could be expensive......
Can someone explain why the mothership box set leaves me feeling cold?
Tried listening to it again this morning even the wife said she'd prefer to listen to the originals

Because it suffers from loudness wars big time.
It also suffers from very bad production by Jimmy Page, who does not have the best hearing after years of standing in front of 20,000 watt monitors playing live.
That album on vinyl or CD is a crime against music.

Last year I was offered £400 for my BBC box set! I turned it down as I'm rather attached to it. Apparently a complete (I-IV, HOTH, PG, Presence, TSRT, ITTOD, Coda and BBC Sessions) sealed set of the Zeps on Classic Recs went for an eye-watering $3,000 in 2010.
Kevin, I admire your restraint - that was quite some offer! Doubt I will let mine go as one day I would regret it....I have never been a great one for selling any music that I have bought, preferring to keep my collection whole.
I would of let it go for £400.
Its not that brilliant or even very good on vinyl imo.
The cd set is loads cheaper and sounds nice.
One can buy some very good sounding vinyl with 400 squid.
That just my 2p worth.
