F1 2010

Well, the off-season has been pretty good so far. New teams, a Senna, new rules and the return of a legend. Will the championship live upto expectations? Will Legard still be doing his best to ruin Brundle's commentary efforts?
Will Big Howard have a good word to say about F1? Will people still act surprised when a driver makes a dumb move? Will people still look back at F1 in the 50s/60s/70s/80s through rose tinted glasses?
I'm looking forward to it, and I'm still trying to work out a way to seeing the Spa GP from beside the circuit, not the sofa.

Congrats team Red Bull.
Vettel kept his chances open but might just have one too many unlucky DNFs to win the title.

Yep, well done to all at RB. A hard fought, well deserved crown.

Congratulations to RB for the constructers championship.
However I can't help thinking it may be a mistake not to capitalise on the drivers position by swapping MW and SV, it would be a shame to let the cheats undeservedly win the drivers championship.

'Fernando is faster than you, I rpt Fernando is faster than you'
Surely the world champ can't be decided by this....can it?

FIA didn't think there was enough evidence to show that the drivers hadn't settled this themselves????? FFS!
Cheating bastards IMO. As I said I think RB may have given FA the drivers title

So, Howard, you'd mitigate the effects of Ferrari "cheating" by having Red Bull do the very same thing?

I'll be cheering at the top of my voice if Alonso takes the championship. Saying 'Well done' if Webber does it. And for some reason yawning if Vettel gets it. If Hamilton gets the drivers' crown I'll be flabbergasted.

Some of us are forming the ABA club - anyone but Teflonso.

If you mean that no shit sticks, or penalties apply, to Alonso, then just take a little look at this year's races. He has been punished. I used to detest the guy, as I detested Senna til I saw him at Donington 93 and I realised what a towering talent he was. Alonso might not be in the same league, but he's a very good F1 driver and has earned his spurs in some crap cars. He tries hard, drives beautifully, and polarises opinion...... mainly one way. Luvvit.

I almost came around to Alonso until Valencia when he and everyone at Ferrari seemed to lose their damn minds. Now that he's winning he seems amiable enough and worthy of rooting for, but I will withhold my judgement until he is out of favor with luck again. I don't expect him to be a nice guy, but I hate when racers whine. If he still behaves in a decent enough fashion, I'll be rooting for him as well.

Looking good for Alonso I'd say...

What for going off course or not being as sharp as Lewis?
I reckon it's FA's title to loose saying that.
I still say swapgate was way too early in the season, there is no way they could know how the rest of the season would turn out.
Last couple of races well may be.
I'd rather Mark wins but lets see what transpires.
There were some remarkable conspiracy theories running around today.
Best was Massa goes out on very low fuel ,perhaps 1/2 race amount, Alonso pits and Massa then "breaks" down bringing out the pace car, made even better by Massa practicing it during free practice.
I'm waiting to see if Lewis (if he were in position to) would let mark through to win over Alonso or maybe Vettel.

Shame. Well done Red Bull, pity it wasn't Webber overall. But hey.
I would like to see Vettel race a bit more rather than head a field, but maybe that will come.
Alonso's sulk at Petrov has been worth the watch. Grow up man.

Well done to Horner, Vettel, and Red Bull.
I don't think that Webber will still be driving for them next season.

Well done Sebastian.
Cheaters lose, even after the race FA can't take it.

10 pole, 5 wins, one blown engine = youngest ever F1 champion.

No real bubbles as you could tell - some comic relief really.

We were watching Lewis with the "champagne", he drank some and spat it out.
Apparently it's fizzy rosewater!!!!

I don't think Petrov will be offered a Ferrari seat any time soon...
Just Glad Alonso didn't win it, and congrats to Vettel who lead the series when it mattered most!

I doubt they'd even let Petrov on the Ferrari rollercoaster!
