A question for trade members: What is it like.....

Posted by: Consciousmess on 08 January 2011

Hi all trade members,

The question I ask is this. Audio entertainment is an area where many have passionate hobbies and I can only assume that if you work ‘in the trade’, your direction to enter the field came from your pre-existing interest in hifi.....

....so by logic, you must regularly get to experience quality systems of many various formats that the average forum member does not have.

What is this like?

I ask this as an open question because I believe that due to human nature, the desire for 'a bit better' always lingers. Some may disagree with me, but this is evidenced by the number of posts in the “Hifi thread” compared to the “Music”, the “Padded Cell”, the “Distributed Audio” threads (for example). It is also evidenced more specifically by more posts being given to threads where the topic is on equipment in the ‘higher echelons’ of the Naim hierarchy!!!

I look forward to your responses!!

Many thanks,

Jon

What's it like ? Frustrating knowing it will take quite a while and a good few upgrades to get the system I aspire to. But very rewarding having had the chance to listen to various digital streaming products and knowing it is the way forward.. When is the NDX due ?

My dealer always has a smile on his face as I bring pieces to him and take a box away.  He's a happy sort of fellow.
