HDX and moving music

As I will (rather sooner than later) upgrade my HDX to the SSD-version I plan to move all the music to the NAS. This has been replaced recently as the HDX is full and the older NAS has become to small too. Now I can't remember how I did it with the previous NAS. The actual NAS is running windows home server. To define an import share on the NAS what do I have to do? Just define a new folder in the music-folder on the NAS? As I will also store the downloaded HiRes-files from Naim etc, is it enough to make a new folder for the downloaded files?

Assuming that you have a NAS array qualified for use with the Naim server:
  • create sharepoint on NAS with proper permissions
  • scan and add Network Share to Naim server
  • convert to Music Store
  • move music to store
