He always taked too much - a legacy from his radio days, presemably.
Now if they can also give Eddie Jordan the big e my happiness would be complete.

It wasn't just that, it was what he said too!

I'm with you there; one down, one to go!

I don't agree to exit Eddie Jordan
He has his faults that might surface from time to time, as all the team do. But he has good insight into the manufacturers thinking & understands the political quagmire within that dark place. Another view point & way of thinking balances up the whole team.
Not sure about DC. Is he a full 100watts ?? I feel he might be struggling following Martin if they try using him for pit lane & other live interviews.

I agree about Legard, bye from him.
I wished they had secured Martin Haven, although he might be a bit of a loose cannon not having the BBC sensibilities.

Brilliant news, absolutely brilliant. At times during last season I had to turn the sound off and listen to the radio broadcast, always due to Legard. I could even detect the occasional awkward silence from Brundle. Not good.

Oh yeah, those "moments". I remember now.

He does add that dimension, I agree. It's just that he is better on the opposite end of a conversation. All those cringeworthy times.

And his shirts. And his 'small man syndrome' haircuts. You know a bloke is tiny when he strains his neck looking up at F1 drivers!

I'm only envious of his lifestyle, if not his hairstyle

I've just read that the beeb are showing F1 in HD this year. I just hope my Freeview HD service starts as promised in March/April.

Finally! The world's premiere motorsport should not look like something I taped on a VCR.

You need a better TV then, looked fine last year, you could tell when the HD cameras were being used even.

I'm with you here. It has always looked awful to me. If ever there was a sport crying out for HD it is F1 (and MotoGP).

MotoGP got it for the last few of rounds and even the upscaled SD last race F1 (unless some bits were originally shot on HD in the first place) looked much better. Bernie's take on the whole HD thing is pretty comical has he's basically saying he can't see the difference.
Try taking those shades off Bernie!

Is your name Bernie? Sorry, fine is not what I'd describe last year's broadcast quality. Occasionally acceptable, often pants, but definitely not HD.

Maybe more down to your US feed then.

I have to say that on our 42" plasma with SD the picture quality was perfectly ok. Maybe on 50" and sat less than 10 feet away SD could look a little fuzzy.

If your standard is SD then yes, the picture was fine. I however want to see F1 in HD and anything less isn't acceptable to me. It's partly because I like pretty pictures and partly because I'm jealous whenever I see baseball or basketball in HD and wonder why I can't see my favorite sport the same way.

It certainly didn't look like it was off a VHS rape though!!

WHO WILL BE LOTUS in 2011
Interesting politics - impasse, hand bags at dawn or will a few quid fix it
For those not up to speed .............
Lotus as in the 2010 F1 team is not Lotus as in the Colin Capman team of the 1960/70's
Lotus as in the old car company is now called Group Lotus & are owned by the Malaysian manufacturer Proton
The "Lotus" F1 team we saw in 2010 are owned by a company called 1Malaysia, a consortium controlled by Tony Fernandes, the founder of Air Asia. Originally he intended the team to be the Malaysian nation F1 team, but he obtained a licence from Group Lotus (Proton) to race under the Lotus brand name, seemed to all make sense.
Now the relationship has collapsed and Group Lotus has removed permission for 1Malaysia to use the Lotus name, citing "flagrant and persistent breaches of the licence by the team".
Dany Bahar, Chief executive, Group Lotus, has now bought into the Renault F1 team which will now be known as Lotus-Renault.

LADA ?
Guess that's how you keep your seat

Let's hope Kubica recovers from injuries sustained in a rally in Italy today. The grid will be poorer without him. And Senna is first choice for replacement...... Oh dear.
