Wonder what suspension/fine he will be getting for that?

Not too sure about this one .....

I think it started when they had a slight coming together when LH passed at the end of Q2

I saw that as a gaggle of cars, most with no chance of improving their Q2 positions excpet LH who  pushed thru & made his Q2 time.

Was that move the thing that fired up PM?

Then we had both of them moving around as they came alongside each other after the line.

LH it seems said his rear end twitched on the damp track (?)

Assuming PM did not deliberately hit LH - if he did he should be banned - but how come he did hit him anyhow.

Did he get a rush of red mist, did he just misjudge LH speed, why did he need to cut across anyhow.

One thing for sure is both cars did make changes of direction.

My bet is it will not come to much.

PM got a 5 place grid position demote

LH got a reprimand

Some think Nigel left his teeth at home

I think it was about right - (as I duck below the parapet)

I found Schumacher's missing wheel interesting. There is something not right with that team personnel wise. Two excellent drivers, even if you don't think Michael is what he used to be, and certainly funding is not an issue. But they are just lost.

Of track slightly, just seen that carting legend Martin Hines has passed away.

He thought only testing a McLaren F1 car came close to suupercarts.

R.I.P. Martin.

Vettel's win should put the championship in the bag, nice race for Schumi, going through the field all the way to 5th.

Posted on: 28 August 2011 by BigH47

Great race for Button, 13 to 19 and then all the way to 3rd!

Posted on: 28 August 2011 by graham55

With all that money, Hamilton still hasn't bought himself a brain!

Posted on: 28 August 2011 by Clay Bingham

Very enjoyable race. Several excellent drives with standout efforts by Vettel, Button, and Schumacher with Alonso, Webber, and Rosberg close behind. I continue to see a worrisome pattern for Hamiltion. A superb racer and talent he continues to have trouble controlling his aggression. Kobayashi is not a guy to mess with in close quarters. Better to be cautious and fight another lap.

Some one else hasn't bought a new line either.

Posted on: 28 August 2011 by graham55

Perhaps so, Howard. Hamilton's still driving like an utter twit, and a number of other drivers, particularly those who can't win, have decided not to give in to his sub-Schumi bullying tactics.

I can't see McLaren putting up with Hamilton's petulance much longer (and Red Bull have made it very clear that they're not interested).

This really about F1 2012:-

20 race calendar NO Turkey , and Canada doesn't clash with Le Mans.

41 years ago today Jochen Rindt was killed at Monza.

Big

I remember that time. Back then you didn't hear F1 news instantly. I was saddened to read the news after the fact in my Road & Track magazine. Sad news of that sort came more often back then. Seems from a different age.

I was still a little kid but remember it well, it was the first deadly F1 incident that registered with me.

Unfortunately I had "lost" many racing heroes before him (and after too), a side effect of being an oldie.

A new plan , dock drivers 5 grid places and 20 points every time they  change their helmet colours (backdated of course).

We'll stop him somehow.

So Vettel did it again. Is there anybody who can stop him?

Not this year...

Great race.

Well done J Button.

Shoe maker gets away with bad driving yet again.

Well said Stu , a bit late to start penalising him after 20 years of dangerous driving, he still has time to kill someone though.

Well done Seb, interesting to hear Ted K with the list of lap times throughout the race , both Mclaren drivers lost a lot more time behind Shumi than they finished behind Seb. I know he was controlling the race but it looked like Jenson and Lewis had faster cars , but were unable to use it.

Enjoyable race again.

It was good to hear the stat read out that Jenson had done more overtaking than anyone else.

No one will touch Seb this year,Its in the bag as they say.

Great driver/great car and comes over as a bloody nice bloke.

1st time since 1993 in Australia that the name Senna has appeared on the F1 scoreboard.

Perhaps this can slow the bugger down?
