Good race.
Well done Jenson,Great drive.
Lewis messed up again but had luck on his side.
I MIGHT HAVE MISSED SOMETHING?
Seb won the race with a stonking drive but is still not world Champ.
I thought if he won today he would be?
Why is he not?

There were a few permutations but I think Button had to finish lower than third in this race. Vettel only needs 1 point from a possible 125, so i guess all bets are off now anyway.
Jenson drove well. Again. It's a pleasure to watch him. He's edging ahead of Lewis now.

I am not a betting man.
Three friends and me put a bet on Lewis never to become world champion again in the next 5 years after he did it the first time.
It looks like it was a good bet.
At least he has got shot of that helmit strap pencil mark on his face..

Vettel will celebrate after the next race and my money is on Button for second place. Lewis is not making any friends right now.
I maintain, although Howard doesn't like it, that Hamilton's a moron.
Who'd have thought, at the beginning of last season, that Jenson would become the No 1 driver in that team? They'll have to adjust their drivers' relative pay structures next season.
And, when he fails again next season, Hamilton can go back to being a kart driver, in which his driving style will make him unbeatable again.
(And, Lewis, don't touch me, man!)
Jenson may not have the youngest reflexes but he prepares and drives with intelligence. He can be very aggressive while at the same time saving his tires and maintaining car control. Never whines and seems well liked in the paddock. In his early 30's he has developed into the consummate professional.
Perhaps Lewis needs a new sport psychologist as well as his dad as manager again?
Or perhaps he should follow that other clumsy F1 driver Montoya across the pond.... He'd have the potential for huge earnings there.

At the highest level NASCAR salaries don't come close to F1. And driving NASCAR is a bit like keeping a 200 kg ballerina en pointe.......the skill is different but there is still a lot of skill involved. Without over doing the analogy, NASCAR has some similarities to F1 of the 50's with long races, burly drivers, and big powerful cars dancing at high speed on a relatively small tire contact patch. These days its quite a show but not long ago there'd be genuine infield fisticuffs and then there was always David Pearson smoking his cigarette in the winners circle. Great fun.
I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that he can sort out his problems though, then we would be in for some more great races before Sky deprive me of my entertainment

NASCAR cars are real beasts, as stated ,2 tons, 600 BHP, brick like aerodynamics and relatively small tyre contact patch.
Unfortunately the race only comes alive at about 3/4 of the way in , early laps to adjust the car and move up to a race winning or at least high points finish.
First 2 races of the "chase" have been fuel consumption races, it looks pretty stupid when 6 or more cars stop 1 or 2 laps from the end.
F1 is of course something of a fuel race as most/all of the cars can't carry enough for the whole race flat out. I can't remember if any F1s have actually run out (except) Virgin as it didn't have a big enough tank to get much passed half way, that was lat year.
Tony: I have it on good authority that 34 NASCARs coming passed at the start is AWSOME!
I have attending a NASCAR race on my bucket list.
Chicago in July would probably help you get that fix?
Interesting insight to the evolution of a circuit design, this one is Suzuka.
Congrats Seb, fantastic season!!!
Well done by Button but Vettel made it clear from the start he's not just going for the missing point.
Well done Jenson, and congratulations Sebastian. Great race, let's hope for some more.
Another good race, a well deserved win and a well deserved championship. I can't see the constructors' gong going any other way but hopefully with a more end of term atmosphere we'll get some entertaining racing over the remaining events.
I think it's been a better to watch season than any I can remember. I was grumpy about push to pass gimmicks but for once the regulations appear to have had the desired effect, after the disastrous and uneven handed first introduction of KERS.

If you are happy with the championship being over after the first few races and don't want any suspense.....
Hardly the first "FEW" races? I's more down to McLaren's inability to get the best places they could get. At least 3 races were lost by McLaren as apposed to RB winning it out right.
At the end of the day that consistency and reliability hand it to SV.
Still many a highly entertaining races, some superb overtakes, these seem to have been the non-srs assisted ones.
Still a few more to comeperhaps JB will deal better with JV next time?
JB to SV: "So that's the way it's going to be?"
McLaren could still be in the hunt. With four races to go in a longer than average season I'd hardly say RBR had it won after "a few races". I can remember more than a few seasons when it was all over by just past the half way stage. Seasons also characterised by little in the way of overtaking and incidents of wheel to wheel brinkmanship in single numbers over the whole year. Time was when even the highlights were boring. Last week end the fun started around lap 10 and didn't stop. Pretty much par for the course this year and to be applauded IMO. Shame I'll be back to watching highlights next year - but I'll take what I can get.
Another great race today at Korea.
Perhaps send your best thoughts for Brit Dan Weldon apparently badly hurt at the Indy car race at Vegas. A huge 15 car pile up, spectacular in NASCAR not so good when it's open wheelers.
Thanks for the news about Dan Wheldon, Howard. That's a huge incident, just seen it on YouTube.
Let's hope he's on the mend as soon as possible.
