Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks band at the Shepherds Bush Empire and Paul Simon at the BIC. PS goes against all my rules - old and large venue - but I haven't seen him before. And he's Paul Simon.

Albert Lee and Hogans Heroes, Backstage at the green hotel, Kinross on May 11, I am much looking forward to this one.

Yeah sometimes I just hate older people/groups making endless tours, nothing new to say, but Paul Simon has always made great music and puts on a good show.  I'm seeing him in 10 days in LA.

I saw RUSH last night in Sheffield.  Outstanding.

I think there were a few technical hitches at the beginning of the set, but loads of highlights, a great set and 3 hours of fantastic music!  These guys are an inspiration.

I'm going to see Jools Holland tomorrow night, somehow, I don't think it will compare!  I just wish I could scrape the pennies together to go the Manchester, Birmingham and/or Newcastle shows.

RUSH RULE!

@ Somerset House on Sat 16 July. I love Summer Festivals with no mud

Hopefully the evening  will be as balmy as the Blue Nile gig in 2008 and just as inspiring. Maybe CC and Dean might like to meet up.

Lucky to get one of the last tickets. Don't like the venue, but can't miss the chance to see the band for the first time.

Just in case anyone else is interested.

Mark Kozelek has released some more dates, Manchester, Bristol and Kilkenny, see:

I suspect that Sarah and I will be going to Manchester. It her birthday though, so is her choice. Will start nagging her now, and bribing too.

Moving Picures has always been my favorite Rush album, I would have never thought I would see it played in it's entirety. It was a great performance. I'm talkin 3 hrs plus.
