Floors

Hi all

My "room" is just about ready to move the hi-fi into ,just the floor to go .
It's a spare cellar room ,solid walls on 3 sides,14'x12',3"solid concrete floor. Iwas just going to put underlay and carpet down so my neat elites would penetrate this and sit on the concrete.
But before i go ahead can anyone give me any advice or suggestions as to making a better job of it.

I have been told that, as a general rule, natural fibres have a much more even effect on the sound than man-made.
