Cardridge for a P2?

Posted by: Bernard Paquet on 11 February 2002

I just bought a Rega planar 2 for cheap (When i say cheap i mean really cheap 65$ us!). The cardridge on it is an old Nakaoka MP 11.

Do you have some cheap suggestion for a new replacement?

Essaye une cellule Grado, Black ou Blue , c'est une excellente cellule MM , qui est réputée pour bien se marier avec les platines Rega.

Rega Super Biam MM from rega. Linn K5. Nice one.
I use the Elys from rega myself. I think it sounds nice.

Yes or the Linn K9 wich I use. Sounds very good on a rega,Imo. Seems to match the mm phonoboard on a Naim preamp if you have one.

K9 and K5 are no longer available (to be replaced in April by the Adikt). The nearest equivalent is the Audio Technica AT95E, which is great value-for-money (about £20).
