Any Boxee users?

I see there is a version for ATV.
Will this allow iPlayer, 4OD etc to stream via ATV?

Does this break the ATV warranty ?

You can download a version for your PC (Win, MAC etc) to give it a test run. It does iPlayer, not sure about 4OD. Note that this is only for the original ATV at the moment, not the 2G.

Boxee does not work on new ATVs. XBMCs iplayer is fantastic.

There is the bootloader available to hack your ATV, this allows both boxee and xbmc to go on. Only original ATVs though.

We have ordered a basic Sony Blu Ray S-373 player I'll connect it via ethernet cable see how that works.
It even plays SACDs, not sure how well though.

I looked at some of these hacks and region free codes for things , my brain just shut down (an easy task BTW).

I'm just hoping for a P&P solution, although I am prepared for disappointment.
